Barker Archive Collection

To celebrate our 140th anniversary Barker proudly presents the Barker of Earls Barton Archive collection, a capsule range rediscovering our village shoe making history.

The limited edition range launching in Autumn / Winter 2020 sees the Barker design team revisit the archives at our Earls Barton factory to reinterpret historical shoe designs with updated materials including the use of European alpine grain leathers and British Dainite rubber soles. The Barker of Earls Barton branding selected for the archive collection dates back 1960’s and was favoured by William Barker, fourth generation of the Barker family.

The Barker of Earls Barton archival styles are named after streets located in Earl Barton in honour our Northamptonshire village shoe making roots.  The Archive collection consists of a Brogue (STATION), Derby (BERRY), Boot (KNIGHTS), Apron Front (MILBURY) and Loafer (MEARS) made from premium European grained leather on the Barker 10 and 460 lasts.

Furthermore, the Barker of Earls Barton Archive collection champions several of our suppliers including the Boaventura Tannery, Northampton’s only remaining lastmaker Springline and the Market Harborough-based sole maker Harboro Rubber Company.

Stockists of the Barker of Earls Barton Autumn / Winter 2020 collection include A Fine Pair Of Shoes, Kurt Geiger at Selfridges and selected Barker London stores.

Launching in Autumn 2020.
