In 1880, the foundation stone of Barker Shoes was laid in a humble cottage in the heart of England's shoe manufacturing industry by an enterprising Northamptonshire boot maker, Arthur Barker.
Barker Shoes recently participated in the annual Earls Barton Soap Box Derby which saw over 25 drivers hurtle through the village starting on West Street and crossing the finish line on Broad Street.
